playing mix and match with Chinese herbs and separating them into cute pink containers!

 

Ever since inheriting my mother’s slow-cooker, I’ve been making a lot of broth. I’ve tried making red dates tonic (recipe here). with the cooker and the result is amazing!  My mother used to boil this tonic for me monthly and told me it’ll give me strength and rosy cheeks. As I need the former desperately and wouldn’t mind the latter, I make it occasionally.

To make it easier, I’m putting them separately in cute pink containers. So I only need to pour them into the slow cooker at night, add water, turn it on and have a warm bowl of tonic in the morning!

This time around, I was playing with red dates, honey dates, black dates and angelica roots (dang gwai). Fun!
